Our learning clinic is made up of assessments and intervention. Learning is not just a classroom affair; it is a function of physiological processes in the body, psychological well-being, social and spiritual conditions.Certain medical conditions, such as hypothyroidism or development condition such as autism, nutritional deficiencies or poor nutrition can affect the learning process. A child who is being bullied or feels abandoned due to a recent loss; divorce or death of a parent or grandparents or change in parental schedule, or teacher-child interaction can become dejected enough to have memory and concentration problems. A child who hangs out with bad peers can be distracted, and every child needs spiritual guidance from their creator to discover their purpose and calling in life. We have world class experts to assess every struggling child at parental request and teacher’s recommendation
Assessment:
When a child struggles, we look beyond the test scores. Children have different strengths; children have different talents and children develop differently. Numerous factors can affect a child's ability to learn. Your child could be a late bloomer; your child might prefer a different learning style; your child might have an underlying medical problem affecting the learning process or even have a learning disability. When a child cannot master a subject, we need to probe. We do a disservice by accepting mediocrity from our children. Every child is a genius; every child is a champion; every child can win. Learning styles and skill sets are different hence the need to probe to get to the bottom of every difficulty a child experiences in learning. It could be as simple as nutritional intake before school, parental discord or bullying. It could be more complicated as in certain medical conditions or neurodevelopmental disease.
It is imperative that each problem is assessed by a team of world-class experts and individual intervention put in place to help each child discover their paths in life and win the race of life set before them.
Intervention:
Some children might simply have to change their diet or add supplements while others will benefit from counseling. In certain instances, children might have to be instructed in a different modality in conjunction with different learning tools to improve assimilation of information and understanding. Some children might have to attend learning camps to facilitate their learning process. Rarely some children will benefit from medical intervention to help Improve their learning.
